How is GOSI Calculated in Saudi Arabia?

1. The Contributory Wage

GOSI is calculated based on Basic Salary + Housing Allowance only.
Transport, phone, and other allowances are excluded.

Important Rule: There is a maximum cap of 45,000 SAR. GOSI is not calculated on any amount exceeding this limit.

2. Contribution Rates

🇸🇦 For Saudi Nationals (21.5% Total)

  • Employee Pays (9.75%): 9% Pension + 0.75% SANED (Unemployment).
  • Employer Pays (11.75%): 9% Pension + 0.75% SANED + 2% Occupational Hazards.

🌍 For Non-Saudis / Expats (2% Total)

  • Employee Pays: 0%
  • Employer Pays (2%): Occupational Hazards only.
